Alola friends. Sorry for the delay, but hey, still less than a month! This will be the second out of 3 games featuring StarKO's team, and as promised last time, we shall have a look at the same Premier Challenge's final today. The last one, coming up in 1.5 weeks as currently planned, will be a Battle Spot game. Anyway, let's go.

Captain Dreykopff's Treasures, Piece 1: These 'Mons Are Poisoned

Alola friends. At the end of last year, I announced on Twitter that I'd go back to doing some nice little YouTube stuff, and now here it is. Actually, it's not just YouTube stuff but rather YouTube and blog stuff combined -- first thing you'll see every time is the link to the video (or, the embedded video) and below you'll find my turn-by-turn analysis of the game shown. I'll explain a bit more about this series and its purpose at the end of this post, but first let's just have a look at the first piece of my treasures!

[VG] Introducing My First Competitive Team on XY

The blog wasn't supposed to be in-game only, and now, also with the US Regionals for XY kicking off, is a good time to start bringing content related to the official VG Standard format. This weekend, I played in the Inoffizielle Deutsche Meisterschaft 2014, which is with 306 participants the biggest online Pokémon live tournament both Germany and Europe have ever seen. (For reference, the top 32 thread.) Also, congratulations to Naruto Uzumaki 97 (bad name, why do tournament winners always have bad names) for taking it all, as well as 13Yoshi37 for making the finals, reigning World Champion Mean for taking 3rd place and all the rest that did well!

For me, it unfortunately didn't go too well... Got a tough second-round group and ended up just going 1-2 in it and be eliminated. That's the way of the IDM sometimes/always, and eventually it just had to hit me rather than other people again. I'll probably write a short team analysis and report soon, but before that I think I deserve at least a half week break from this game, so whatever. This is what I used in overview, my very first team on XY. Take care.

I'm done uploading everything interesting enough using that terrible team I just introduced. I didn't put many comments to what happaned on YouTube because YouTube is, with my resources, not the ideal platform for doing that. Thus, I'll do it just here and now, have fun.

[VG] A Bad Team for Battle Maison

It's been a while. Playing games and writing about games at the same time is hard. I'll have to rethink whether I actually finish this other series as originally intended or just make some kind of summary, whatever, for the rest. Anyhow, time for some Maison now. Since I want to get those battle videos out already, I also need the team analyses to support them.

Today's team will probably be the least interesting, really, because I think it's bad, and undeniably it's old. I've learned a lot about it using it, so maybe that will be helpful to someone else that is fool enough to start out with similar ideas.
